Our low-income workers will benefit through an expanded Workfare programme. The middle-income will be covered by the new Wage Credit Scheme. The Transition Support Package will help our SMEs raise productivity. We have made our taxes more progressive, so that the well-off bear more of the burden, but we must not go overboard and discourage hard work, entrepreneurship and success. We are studying how to make healthcare more affordable, especially for older people. If we work together, Singapore can achieve quality growth, and be an inclusive society. – LHL
